Noa is fifteen years old. She lives in Netanya with her parents

and her little brother. Every morning she takes the bus to school.

Last Tuesday was a bad day. Noa was late, so she ran to the bus

stop. She sat at the back of the bus and listened to music. When the

bus stopped near her school, she jumped off quickly. She did not see

that her wallet fell on the floor.

At lunchtime, Noa wanted to buy a sandwich. She opened her bag,

but her wallet was not there. Inside the wallet she had 80 shekels,

her student card and a photo of her grandfather. The money was not the

most important thing. The photo was very special to her, because her

grandfather died two years ago.

Noa told her teacher, and they called the bus company. A woman at

the office said, "Nobody brought a wallet here today. I'm sorry." Noa

went home sad.

That evening, someone knocked on the door. It was an old man with

a small dog. "Are you Noa Levi?" he asked. "I found this on the number

12 bus." He held her wallet in his hand. He found her address on the

student card.

Noa opened the wallet. The money, the card and the photo were all

inside. She wanted to give the man some money as a thank-you, but he

said no. "Just do something nice for another person one day," he said

with a smile.

Noa still thinks about his words. Last week she saw a little boy

crying in the park because he lost his ball. She looked everywhere

with him until they found it under a bench.
