Text 1: Teens at Work

Many teenagers want to earn their own money. Some want to buy

clothes or a new phone, and others want to save for a trip after

school. A part-time job can help. A part-time job is a job that you do

for only a few hours a week, usually in the afternoon, in the evening

or at the weekend.

There are many kinds of part-time jobs for teens. Some teenagers

work in cafés or shops. Others babysit for families in their

neighbourhood. Noa, 16, from Haifa, walks dogs three afternoons a

week. "I love animals, and I get paid to be outside," she says.

But a job is not always easy. Students also need time for

homework, tests and friends. Some teachers believe that working more

than ten hours a week can hurt a student's grades. So before you

start, talk to your parents and make a weekly plan.

A good job can teach you a lot. You learn to arrive on time, to

speak politely to customers and to manage your money. These skills

will help you for the rest of your life.

Text 2: Camp Blue Wave — Summer fun by the sea for ages 11–14

Are you between 11 and 14 years old? Do you love the sea? Then

come to Camp Blue Wave this summer!

What we offer: Every morning, campers learn to sail small boats

and to paddle a kayak. In the afternoon, they choose between beach

volleyball, an art workshop and a cooking club. On Thursday evenings,

we have a big campfire with music and games.

Safety first: All our instructors are trained lifeguards. Campers

swim only when a lifeguard is watching, and every child wears a life

jacket on the boats.

Dates and prices: There are two sessions, July 1–21 and July 24 –

August 13. Each session costs 2,400 shekels. Brothers and sisters get

a 10% discount. Lunch and a bus from the city centre are included in

the price.

How to join: Fill in the form on our website before May 15. There

are only 80 places in each session, so don't wait!
